Especially for kids and beginner artists, I have prepared a new lesson in which I will show you how to draw a big bird step by step. There are a large number of birds on our planet that can be described in different ways. Many artists depict birds in their paintings using different painting techniques.
In this lesson you will learn how to draw a large bird standing on long legs. Here the bird is presented in the form of a cartoon, so it looks unrealistic, but very funny. The bird stands on two legs, the tips of its wings are like human hands, and the beak is slightly open.
To outline the body, use jagged wavy lines, so you will depict the bird’s magnificent plumage. For coloring, you can use the same shades suggested in the tutorial or any other color of your choice.
Big Bird Drawing Step by Step
Step 1. Draw the eyes.
Describe two small circles next to each other. Add upper eyelid and pupil.
Step 2. Describe the beak.
Draw a smooth line from the eye and add the top and bottom of the beak.
Step 3. Add the outline of the head.
Using irregular wavy lines, depict the rounded head.
Step 4. Sketch the feathers on the head.
Add fun tufts of fur on the top of your head with smooth curves.
Step 5. Draw the body.
Using irregular wavy lines, depict the pear-shaped body.
Step 6. Add wings.
In the middle of the body, draw the wings in the same position as in the example.
Step 7. Draw the tail.
Depicts a fluffy tail and two separate feathers on either side of the body.
Step 8. Describe the foot.
The feet fit snugly together and consist of several elements.
Step 9. Color the big bird.
For coloring, use different shades of beige.
