Step 1
To start Dexter, we first need to draw a large hexagon for his head and face. This shape is similar to the house plate on a baseball diamond.
Step 2
Next, draw a rectangle below Dexter’s head for his body and create a large swirl on top for his hair.
Step 3
Dexter’s boots often look like they’re solid cubes, so we’ll draw them that way.
Make his boots by drawing a huge “M” shape just below his body.
Step 4
Next, give Dexter two clenched fists on either side of his body.
Step 5
Now draw a line connecting the soles of Dexter’s gloves to his body – just below his head.
You can also draw the outline of Dexter’s glasses and nose in this step.
Step 6
Next, outline the inside of the Dexter with the pupils looking up.
Give Dexter two thick brows with one brow facing down and the other facing up.
Step 7
Finally, give Dexter a sly smile and a line down the center of his body for the seam of his jacket.
Draw a very simple round ear on the side of his head and some hair sticking out from the back of his head.
Step 8
Give Dexter a little color and he’s done!
