Step 1

So let’s first sketch the skeleton of our pterosaur. Outline the head as a circle, then the body of the circle. Draw the neck and with the help of simple lines.

Step 2

Now let’s tackle the volume. First, sketch the long, sharp beak of the pterodactyl. Then thicken the neck and legs. With the help of simple lines and gently draw the rest of the wings.

Step 3

Let’s pay attention to the details. And we’ll start as usual with the head. Erase all the excess lines draw the long beak and no less long comb on the back of the head. Draw small eyes and tongue.

Step 4

Use long and slightly curved lines to draw the wings. Draw small claws on the wings. Also don’t forget to remove all unnecessary lines from the wings.

Step 5

We are almost done with the drawing lesson on how to draw pterodactylus. Draw the body of an extinct animal and cut off the tail with the legs. At the end of the step delete all remaining extra lines.

Step 6

To add shadow we need to use hatch feature. At first, draw the outline of the shadow using very light lines and then draw the shadow yourself using the coloring mentioned above.
