Start drawing the horse’s head with three circles. Let’s sketch the initial lines first, because they will be the basis for us to draw the horse’s head. Using the #2 pencil, draw three such circles: the largest circle at the top, the smallest at the bottom, and a medium-sized circle in the middle. Please try to reproduce my drawing in this step.
Draw the contours of the horse’s head. Work on the expected contours of the horse’s muzzle and head without pressing too hard on your pencil in case you may need to correct some lines later. Add a small circle to the largest circle that will be the eyeball of the horse.
How to draw a horse’s ears, nostrils and neck. Place the ear on top of the horse’s head. Line the long neck and add nostrils and lip lines. You can now remove excess lines from your drawing.
Horse bridle. A rein is required to be able to control a horse. Usually only horses in the wild or on farms do not wear reins. First draw a small ring near the edge of the horse’s mouth and part of the reins coming out of the mouth. As you complete your drawing, add some details at each step. Draw a mane and perfect the shape of the eyes and nostrils.
Finish drawing the reins. In this step, learn how to draw a horse’s head, finish drawing the bridle and ears. Aren’t you proud to say you’re almost done?
Add shadows to your drawing. This step is very important and requires a certain amount of artistry to create the volume of the horse’s head making it look real. It is enough to simply add shadows with the #2 pencil instead of coloring in your drawing. In this easy lesson, we used simple steps to draw a horse’s head. I hope this guide has helped you.
