Drawing Art

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

We’ll start by drawing a face in this first step of the Corpse Bride tutorial.

She has an angular face, quite different, very suitable for the typical cartoon character style of Tim Burton.

Another trait she shares with other characters associated with him is that she has large, round eyes. This is what you can start with and you can draw them as circles with small corners.

Then use some angled lines for her eyebrows and nose between her eyes. She has some big and smiling lips, and once they’re drawn you can also use some angled curves to contour her face.

Finish by drawing the top of her hair and then add some lashes around her eyes.

Step 2 – Now draw some hair and flower crown for Corpse Bride

In this second part of The Corpse Bride, you can start drawing her hair and give her a flower crown on her head.

First, use some curved lines to draw the top of the hairline around her face, then draw some thick line details in this contour.

Then you’ll be ready to draw a flower crown on her head. We’ll use some subtle curves to draw each individual flower on top of her head to complete this aspect.

Once you’re happy with how it looks, we’re ready for step 3!

Step 3 – Next, draw more of her hair and start her veil

Now you can continue adding in her hair while drawing the top of the veil as you begin this step in our tutorial on how to draw the Corpse Bride.

Use some more wavy lines from her head to depict her hair falling down. We’ll also add another curve to her shoulder on the right hand side.

Then we’ll draw her veil dropping behind her head. It will be drawn with a thick line that will have lots of small marks and dipped in it to make it look a little ragged.

That’s all that needs to be done for this step and now let’s move on to step 4 of the tutorial.

Step 4 – Now draw some more curls

We’ll be adding more curls to your Corpse Bride drawing in the next step of this tutorial.

This should be pretty easy for you, as we’ll be drawing these curls in a similar way to how you would draw the rest of her hair.

That means you’ll be stretching some thin wavy shapes down from her head, as shown in the reference image.

Once the hair is finally drawn, we’ll only have a few final details to draw as we move on to the next step.

Step 5 – Add Final Details to Your Corpse Bride Drawing

This fifth step of our tutorial on how to draw the Corpse Bride will help you finish some final details before you color your work.

The main elements that we will be drawing in this step will be the rest of her chest along with some torn curtains on the right hand side.

Once you’ve drawn these elements, you’re ready to move on to the final step! You can also go ahead and add any details you might like to this picture.

One idea is to draw the background and by doing this you can represent your favorite scenes and characters from the movie.

You can also draw more of her body or maybe even change elements like her facial expressions, what other ideas can you think of to accomplish this?

Step 6 – Complete your Corpse Bride drawing with color

You’ve worked hard on this Corpse Bride drawing, so now it’s time to finish it off by having fun coloring! In our reference image, we have shown you the colors we will use to represent her appearance in the film.

That means we used different shades of blue and gray to color her. By using different shades of the same color, you can create a more dynamic image.

You can use the same colors for your own drawing, but you can also change it up and use some of your own color choices!

What colors and art mediums do you think you will use for your wonderful drawing?
