How to draw Tails from Sonic easy with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. How to draw cartoons for beginners and kids.

Step 1
To start Tails, we will first need to draw two squares. The top square will become Tails’ head, while the bottom square will be his middle.
Remember that the middle of the Tails should be half the size of the head.
On top of the head, create two large triangular ears at the tail.
Also in this step we can give him two skinny arms placed directly under his head.
Step 2
Draw Tails’ legs at the bottom of his body, which should be the same size as his arms.
Step 3
On each of his arms and legs, put cuffs on Tails.
Step 4
Give Tails his hands, which should be about the same size as his body.
As you can see in the image on the left, the left hand is palm up and the other hand is palm down with the thumb facing the ground.

Step 5
Give Tails two large oval shoes, each with a cutout in the middle.
Step 6
Now we can draw Tails’ namesake – his two giant tails.
Each of his tails should be as long as his entire body, with a white tip on each.
Also in this step you can add a small tuft of feathers on his chest as shown in the image on the left.
Step 7
Draw feathers around Tails’ mouth. This will wrap around each side of his head and end at four points on either side.
Give Tails a very small nose and outline almost like an arrow for a smile.
Step 8
Each eye of the tail is about a third the size of his head. Draw his eyes so they almost look like they’re resting on top of his mouth, with two large ovals for the pupils.
Step 9
Give Tails some little buns that stick out from the front of his head, and you’re done!
