The green lantern in our lesson stands still, so it will be easy for us to draw his skeleton. So, we outline the head in the form of an oval, then we draw the spine, where the ribcage and pelvis are located. And finally outline the arms and legs. Recall that the body length of an adult man is approximately equal to the length of 7-8 heads.
So we will go further in this tutorial on how to draw Green Lantern. Here we outline the contours of the facial features. Next, we outline the neck in the form of a cylinder. Draw the torso narrowing from the shoulders to the pelvis. Then add volume to the arms and legs with the help of simple cylinders.
Our Green Lantern dummy is ready and we start adding details. Outline the eyes on the horizontal line from the previous step. Around the eyes draw a mask that completely covers the nose. Under the mask, draw a slightly smiling mouth and the outline of the lower lip.
Here we continue to draw the first part of the Green Lantern. Use curved lines to draw a section of hair created in the style of the mid-20th century. Then draw our superhero’s ears and jawline. By the way, don’t forget to clear from your head all the principles that we outlined in the first two steps.
Continue drawing tutorial on how to draw Green Lantern step by step. Now we need to draw the neck and shoulder lines. Then we draw the contours of the chest and abdomen. In the center of the chest is the Green Lantern logo.
Carefully draw the lines of the biceps, triceps, and forearms. Next we draw the hand that forms a fist (to learn more about this part of the body, visit the lesson on how to draw hands). At the end of the step draw the lines of the glove and add some folds.
With the help of smooth lines draw the contours of our Green Lantern’s muscular legs. Note that the leg should narrow slowly at the knee area, then widen at the calf muscle, and again at the ankle area. Add contours of muscles and contours of knees. Next, draw the lines of the shoes and add a few folds. Erase all remaining principles and we should get a ready Green Lantern drawing.
It’s pretty tough, but it’s worth it. Today we drew the classic Green Lantern, but using this drawing lesson you can draw any superhero, because the principle of drawing is the same, the difference is only in the details.
