Step 1

To draw a Tui bird, you will first have to draw the head and the beak. For mines draw two sides of a triangle, with one being slightly angular. From the top of the beak, draw a curve for the top of the head, then a serrated line for the feathers on the neck. Finally connect the bottom of the neck with a straight line to the mine.

Step 2

Next, you will add faces. Use a circle to create the eye and draw a line separating the beak and a triangle to make the inside of the mouth.

Step 3

Now you will add feathers to your neck. You can do this by adding two rows of serrated lines and extending the neck through them.

Step 4

Now you will need to add a throat feather by adding a leaf shape to the front of the neck.

Step 5

To draw the upper body and upper part of the wing, you will need to pull the neck down with a curve for the abdomen. Then make a straight line fro the top of the neck for the back. To make the top of the wing, draw the shape of the lower part of the wing and connect it to the end of the back and the top of the stomach.

Step 6

Next, you’ll add another layer to the wing. To do this, add the feather shape shown above. Draw the ends of the wings by adding a rectangular shape until they have the shape at the bottom.

Step 7

Next, you will need to paint the legs. To do this, you will need to draw straight lines for the legs and three curved shapes to create the claws bringing them to a sharp point. Now draw the other leg the same way you draw the first one, put it behind the first one.

Step 8

Finally, you will need to add covers and tails. To create other feathered shapes at the bottom of the wing, followed by a long rectangle extending to form the tail. Complete the underside with the triangles tied to the bottom. You have successfully drawn your card. Add color to the bird so it looks more realistic.
