How to Draw a Apatosaurus Dinosaur step by step for kids with this how-to video and step-by-step drawing instructions. How to draw a dinosaur step by step for beginners.
Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below
You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
First, draw the head. Apatosaurus has a very small rounded head, so draw a small circle around the large, long neck.
Step 2
Draw eyes, face and neck. Like all sauropods, this dinosaur has a very long neck leading down a large body, so draw two long lines, sloping down to where the back and bottom will begin. Draw a third line down the neck starting at the jaw. This is a distinctive sign on Apatosaurus running along the neck and abdomen.
Step 3
Draw the body, with a long, dangling back and a small curve like the belly, between the legs will go.
Step 4
Draw the front leg, starting with a thick upper leg and narrowing into smaller legs, elephants. Remember to draw the other leg on the other side of the body.
Step 5
Draw the hind leg like you did before, but with a small difference in size because, as with many dinosaurs, the hind legs will be longer and start higher on the body.
Step 6
Draw the tail. Here the path down to the rest of the body will continue. The tail of Apatosaurus is long and narrow like a whip, almost the length of its body, and like sauropods, it is a balance.
Step 7
Finally color the dinosaurs as in the video above or in your imagination
