Step 1
Start off by drawing a rounded rectangle. This will form Lightning McQueen’s windshield – which also serves as his eyes. Draw a curve parallel to the top of the windshield and another curve in the middle, indicating the eyelids.
Step 2
Extend a curve from each side of the windshield to form the front end. Allows the lines to meet at a point.
Step 3
Use one curve to surround a small figure on top of the car and another to connect the lower part of the windshield to the back of the car head. This second line surrounds the side windows of the car.
Step 4
Surrounds a rectangle and rounded triangle in the waterdrop shape of the side window area. These are individual windows.
Step 5
Draw curves from the bottom corners of the windshield, outlining the hood. Draw another one from the back of the roof, outlining the fenders.
Step 6
Wrapped in a rounded rectangle that extends behind the vehicle. Draw a parallel curve to one side of it. This is the spoiler or tail fin.
Step 7
Details of the front end. Use a curve to surround the front of the hexagonal hood. Draw lines and small circles along the edges of the hood. Wrapping round parallelograms right in front of the hood, forming headlights – in Lightning’s case, just stickers. Draw lines on each headlight. Use the curves to outline the front wheel well and the smile open.
Step 8
Use a long, curved line to wrap around the bottom of the car, note that the large “C”-shaped indents are the wheel wells. In each wheel, draw three consecutive smaller circles. Outer circle texture – tires – with curves. Draw more circles between the two smaller circles, forming a wheel and hook.
Step 9
Draw Lightning’s eyes, each of which is a shaded circle in a slightly larger circle. Then, detailing his paint job. Draw a circle on the hood, write the word “Rusteze” on it, and underline it. Paste a curve on the roof and write and underline “Rusteze” on the spoiler. Sketch the number “95” on the side and use a series of connected curves to form the flame.
Step 10
McQueen color lightning. He is usually painted red with yellow and orange accents. Sometimes, he is seen in yellow, white, green, or Dinoco blue.
