You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

For the first step in this tutorial on how to draw ears, we’re going to start off pretty simple. Using the reference image as a guide, we’ll start by drawing a curved vertical line.

This part will form the outer edge of the ear, and once you’re done drawing we can move on to the next part!

Step 2 – Add more to the edge of the ear

Now that you have the outline of your ear drawing, you can stretch it a bit more in this next step.

All you need to do for this step is lengthen the liner so that they curve inward more than the inner ear. The reference image will give you a great idea of the length it should be.

Step 3 – Start drawing the inside of the ear

In step 3 of this ear drawing tutorial, we will start moving away from the outer ear and start with the inner part of the ear.

The inner ear is the most complicated part of the drawing, so we’ll focus on making it easier in the next few steps.

To start, simply extend the line from the top curve of the ear toward the center. Then you can add a curve near the center of the ear as shown in the image.

Step 4 – You can now add more inner ears

To draw more inner ears, for this step you just need to add another curved line near the center.

This line will start near the bottom ring of the ear and then extend all the way up to the top ring.

It has a few small curves and twists into it, so don’t be afraid to consult the reference image for help as you draw it!

Step 5 – Draw some more lines for the inner ear

Your ear drawing is starting to really take shape!

For this step, simply draw a sharp curve from the tip of the line you drew in the previous step and extend slightly to the distal end of the earlobe.

Step 6 – Finalize the final details of your ears

With step 9 of our ear drawing tutorial, you’re almost done! As you can see from our drawing, many of the lines that we added are suddenly starting to look like an ear.

We only need two more lines to complete your drawing, so go ahead and add them now.

For the first line, simply start a line from the top curve you drew in the previous step and drag it below the ear.

Finally, add another slight curve going up the inner edge of the ear as shown in the image.

Once these lines have been added, your ear drawing is just one step away!

Step 7 – Complete your ear drawing with some colors

The ears can be difficult to draw, but in this step you’ve done it! While that’s already a pretty big accomplishment, there’s one more thing you have to do before it’s done properly, but fortunately it’s an exciting step!

Your ear drawing needs a little color, and here’s your chance to show us how creative you can be!

We’re only showing one way to color your ears, but feel free to experiment and use any color you want!

Choosing a color is just one way to personalize your ear drawing, and there’s so much more you can do.

One fun thing you can try is adding some jewelry to your ears. If you have some earrings that you love, you can paint them on this one!

Or, you can let your inner jewelry designer loose and design some awesome earrings for it!

You may also find it interesting to try different art mediums to color your ears. My recommendation is to use watercolor paints, as they create a softer look that will look great on skin.

However, this is just a suggestion and you can have a great time using any of your favorite art tools and media to complete your drawing!
