You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start off by drawing a circle. This will help you shape the guinea pig’s head.

Step 2

Using a long and curved line, surrounds a large, irregular form on one side of the head. Notice that the two bottom bulges of the image will become the legs.

Step 3

Contouring and stretching the shape of the head. In the circle, outline a more detailed form. Then use two overlapping curves to surround the shapes of the muzzle and mouth.

Step 4

Delete guide lines, leaving spherical contours.

Step 5

Sketch on the hamster’s foreleg, erase the guides if needed. Use two curves to indicate the upper shoulder and upper leg. Connect them using a series of overlapping “U”-shaped lines. Finally, use three long and narrow “U”-shaped lines to wrap around the toes.

Step 6

Draw away from the forelegs extending from the back of the neck. Use overlapping curves to create the same hairline as before. Then, overlap some narrow “U”-shaped lines to cover the toes and feet.

Step 7

Outline the back foot. For the feet close, outline the foot using two curves. Connect them using “U” shaped lines to form toe. For far feet, use curves that embrace two or more toes, partially hidden from the body.

Step 8

View details of the hamster’s face. Draw a circle inside a circle to form a large teardrop eye. Draw an oval and a small circle in the smaller circle, and shade around them to form the pupils. Use long and curved lines to cover the ears. Draw a circle on the muzzle to form the nose. Draw a small oval to represent shading and nose shading.

Step 9

Add fur details along the curves of the hamster’s body. Use a series of short lines connected to jagged points. Then, use long, curved lines to draw the beard that extends from the nose.

Step 10

Color your hamster. These small mammals come in a variety of colors, including black, white, cream, gray, and brown. They may also display combinations of these colors, marked with spots, blemishes, patches, and asterisks.
