Step 1. Start with the Pier Posts
Attach three posts on each side of the dock deck by creating cylinders. Add texture to the posts by drawing vertical lines. Add waves by creating curves at the bottom of the posts.
Step 2. Create the Dock Deck
Create the dock deck by creating a thin rectangular box.
Step 3. Add the Dock Deck Planks
Add texture and planks to the dock deck by creating straight lines as shown.
Step 4. Draw the Post Ties
Draw the tie-in ropes that are tied to the posts by creating curves as shown.
Step 5. Create the Boat
Let’s create the boat by first drawing a long triangle. Create the exterior of the boat by drawing a wide U-shaped line.
Step 6. Draw the Interior of the Boat
Draw the interior of the boat by first adding the railings. To draw the railings, create rectangles inside the boat as shown. Then, create a straight line to form the visible angle inside the boat.
Step 7. Add details to the boat
Add some texture by creating two curves on the outside of the boat.
Step 8. Draw the dock scene
Now, let’s draw the grass by drawing a straight line attached to the end of the dock base. Make some blades of grass visible by drawing small zigzag lines as shown. Next, draw the water body by drawing horizontal lines. Draw the path to the dock, clouds and sun, add flying birds, etc.
Step 9. Finish the Dock Drawing
Let’s finish the dock drawing by first coloring the dock and boat with brown. Shade the inside of the boat with a darker brown. Next, color the sky with light blue, the clouds with white, the sun with red, and color the water with dark blue. Finally, color the grass with green.
