You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by sketching the edges of the kawaii cat face. Use one curve for each side. Note the small curves added to the base of one of the larger lines.

Step 2

Draw the neck of the cat. Stretch a textured line from each side of the face. The lines must consist of curves, short, overlapping.

Step 3

Draw two overlapping “U”-shaped lines to form the two forelegs of the kawaii cat.

Step 4

Extend a long spiral from the base of the neck to the side of the foreleg, outlining the back, hips, and hind legs.

Step 5

Draw a small “U” shape on the opposite side of the forelegs, enclosing the shape of the other hind foot.

Step 6

Stretch a long and curved line from the hips and fold it back over itself to form a soft tail section. Draw a series of curves, connecting each other, meeting at jagged points through the tail near the head.

Step 7

Draw the cat’s ear. For each ear, use two circumference curves to create a triangle. Then, connect the ears with a curve, while at the same time outline the top of the head. Detail the inside of each ear using a triangle. The base of the triangle should consist of a series of overlapping curves. The side edges are also curved, with an angle not fully attached.

Step 8

Begin to detail the kitten’s face. Use a thick curve to outline each brow hair. Then draw the eyes, encircling the smaller circles in the larger circles. The shade between the two is the smallest, forming the pupils. Then, paint a small, rounded triangle in the corner of each eye.

Step 9

Complete the face of the cartoon cat. Draw an oval on each cheek and a small, inverted, rounded triangle for the nose. Below it, draw a round “W” shape to form the mouth. Finally, use curves to indicate the beard that extends from below the nose.

Step 10

Color your cute chibi cat. In the real world, cats come in a variety of colors – black, white, gray, orange, yellow and brown, with mixed spots and stripes. In the anime, animals often have bright and unnatural colors, so feel free to get creative!
