Step 1

A black kite is a raptor that lives in Asia, Australia, Europe and Africa. To draw a black kite, start with the head. Draw a curve for the back of the head, and a smaller path below to form a mine and neck.

Step 2

Add black kite mines and an eye. Black kites have great eyesight, helping them to detect prey when they are flying high in the sky. Don’t forget to add a line to your mouth and a small dot to your nostrils.

Step 3

Draw a slightly longer curve for bird chests and another small path for details.

Step 4

Next, draw the wings of the Elephant bird. Draw a long line for his back, and then add a lot of feathers. Their wings can extend 4-5 feet (140-150 cm)!

Step 5

Add one of the bird’s legs by drawing a picture ‘V V with one side longer than the other. Add one leg to some Talons.

Step 6

Next, draw another bird’s leg. Add a line from the foot to the end of the bird to create the rest of the body.

Step 7

Finally, add some pointed tail feathers. Your black kite is complete! A black kite feather is dark brown or black.
