Buffalo (Bison) Drawing Step by Step

Step 1. Eyes

Draw the bison’s eyes first. The bison’s eyes are not as big as the picture.

Step 2. The bison’s head

Next draw the nose, sketch the head, the bison’s head is wide and round at the top, narrower at the bottom, the hair on the head and chin is thick and long, add curved horns. The bison has an excellent sense of smell, but its eyesight is poor. The horns are used to protect itself from predators.

Step 3. Back and chest

Draw the bison’s back with a simple curve that goes down from top to bottom towards the tail. The bison’s chest is covered with long, thick hair that helps keep the body warm.

Step 4. Draw the legs

Now draw the hind legs. Bison have very strong legs and despite their large size, they can run at speeds of up to 40 miles per hour! Next are the front legs, the curve in the front of the bison. Also, draw the claws at the bottom.

Step 5. Tail

Finally draw the tail of the bison, it has a big and strong tail.

Step 6. Finishing and coloring

Check and edit the drawing to make it perfect then color your mighty bison.
