Step 1. First Draw the Cabin
Draw the cabin cabin by creating a slanted rectangular shape.
Step 2. Draw the Hull
Next, draw the top of the hull by creating a horizontal oval with two pointed edges as shown. Next, create the edge of the hull by drawing a straight line connecting the pointed edges of the oval.
Step 3. Attach the Mast and Boom
Attach the mast by drawing a long vertical bar.
Attach the boom to the right side of the mast by creating a shorter horizontal bar.
Step 4. Draw the Sail
Let’s draw the sail of the sailboat! First, draw the mainsail by drawing a diagonal line connecting the mast and boom. Next, draw a triangle on the left side of the mast to form the foresail.
Step 5. Draw the Water
Draw the water surrounding the sailboat by drawing wavy horizontal lines.
Step 6. Add the Burgee
Add the burgee by drawing a V-shaped line attached to the top of the mast.
Step 7. Finish the Sailboat Drawing
Finish the sailing boat drawing by first coloring the mainsail in orange and the foresail in red. Next, shade the burgee in yellow. Now, color the mast and the jib of the sailboat in brown. Then, color the cabin in white and the windows in blue. Don’t forget to shade the hull of the sailboat in indigo. Finally, color the sky in light blue and the water in dark blue.
