Step 1
Shall we start this first step? First, draw a nice large circle for the outline of the lotus. Next, start drawing petal lines starting at the bottom and working your way up.
Step 2
Now here, you will draw a semicircle on both sides of the flower, which will be the pad or leaf on which the lotus flower rests. Next, start contouring the lotus or water lily petals. The lining looks like single strands of hair.
Step 3
As you can see your lotus is blooming nicely so far. What is the first thing you will do in this step? Thus, the creation of lotus petals is completed as shown in the illustration. Once you’ve finished drawing each individual petal, you’ll detail the leaf or lily and begin sketching the inner flower like a small flame.
Step 4
Now this is the final drawing step and so you will start erasing all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your work. You would then detail and define the remaining petals as shown and then detail the pad or leaf a bit more.
Step 5
When your drawing is complete, your lotus will appear like the one you see here. Now you are ready to color your beautiful flower dark pink or leave it white.
