You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

In this sushi drawing tutorial, we will draw a popular type of sushi that has sheets of seaweed called nori surrounding layers of rice and fish.

To start, use a bumpy line to create a rounded rectangular outline of the sushi. There will also be some curvy texture lines on the outer shell of the sushi.

After that, we will draw the shape of the filling inside. Use some more bumpy lines around the inner circumference of the border for the contour you just drew, and this will be the layer for it.

Then finish by drawing some shapes inside that layer of rice for the pieces of fish it contains. Then you’re ready to move on to step 2!

Step 2 – Next, draw another piece of sushi

We will add another part of your sushi drawing!

To do this, you can repeat a lot of what you did in the previous sections, and that means drawing that nori seaweed shell and a layer of rice inside it.

The layer of rice this time will be a little thicker, and we will also use some different lines to show the individuality of this time.

Step 3 – Draw some more sushi

In this third step of the sushi drawing tutorial, we will be adding a third piece to the group! Like the previous section, this section will have a similar structure.

That means nori seaweed and rice again, but the filling will be different from the first two.

We will aim to make the filling unique for each portion and you can also change these filling details if you wish.

Step 4 – Draw more sushi pieces

You’ve done a great job on this sushi drawing so far, so aren’t ready to double the intensity of drawing two pieces in one step!

Other than the fact that you will draw two parts instead of one, they will basically follow the same idea as the previous sections.

Again, you can also change the details for the inside of the sushi piece.

Once these two sections have been added, you’ll be ready to move on to some final touches and details in the next step, so move on to step 5 to make that happen!

Step 5 – Complete your sushi drawing

This is part of this tutorial on how to draw sushi that you can finish with some final details and some extra elements of your own.

First, we’ll end by adding another piece of sushi. You know how to do this, because you drew some awesome sushi!

Once this final piece is complete, you’ll be ready to go with some brushstrokes of your own to really complete this painting.

For starters, you can background this picture and indicate in what context this sushi is being enjoyed. You can draw the food or drink you want to enjoy the most!

As mentioned earlier, sushi can come in many different variations. You can pick some of your favorite real-life sushi variations and paint them along with the pieces you’ve drawn so far!

These are just a few of the many ideas that you can apply, and you should feel free to experiment as you see fit. We can’t wait to see how you end up with this amazing drawing!

Step 6 – Finish your sushi drawing with some colors

We will perfect your drawing of delicious sushi by adding some amazing colors to it.

In our reference image, we used a darker gray and matte black color scheme for the nori coating, while using some light pink for the individual part, perhaps to give it a bit of a splash. view of salmon.

However, these colors are just a suggestion, and here’s your chance to mix and match with any color of your choice!

Sushi can come in many forms and variations, and it can also have many different fillings. These fillings can range from a variety of vegetables to a variety of fish.

This gives you a lot of options on how you can complete this drawing of yours using your colors. You can also achieve different color styles depending on the art medium and tools you use to color.

Whether you use lighter colored pens and paints or lighter watercolors and crayons, we know this will be an amazingly finished picture!
