You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
To start Mugman, we first need to draw a large half circle for his cup-shaped head and an oval below for his body.
Step 2
Next, draw an arm on each side of Mugman’s body, right where his head and torso meet. For this pose, we’ll draw one of Mugman’s arms facing up and one lying on his side.
Step 3
Draw two circles on each of Mugman’s arms for his hand. At this point, each hand is almost like a boxing glove.
Step 4
On each glove, give Mugman a number of fingers as shown in the picture. As you can see, only one finger will show up on the right arm because his hand is on his side. Also, draw a few lines on the back of his glove to give it a vintage cartoon look.
Step 5
Next, draw two openings below Mugman’s body for his shorts and a long rectangle sticking out of each hole for his legs.
Step 6
Next, draw a donut shape at the end of each Mugman’s leg. These will become the top of his shoes.
Step 7
Now draw a large pea shape for the rest of the Mugman shoes, with a thin line under each for the sole.
Step 8
Now we’re going to step back a bit and work on Mugman’s face. Draw two large ovals for his eyes, with another horizontal oval in the middle for his nose.
Step 9
Next, give Mugman some old-fashioned pupils by drawing an oval inside each eye, with a small triangle cut out from each pupil. To make the Mugman’s mouth, we’ll draw a shape that looks like a pea with two hills inside. I don’t have a better explanation, believe me, I tried!
Step 10
To complete Mugman’s head, draw a “C” shape for the handle and a raised rectangle for his straw.
Step 11
Give Mugman some color and you’re good to go! Just like my tutorial on how to draw Cuphead, Mugman’s color scheme is very basic. Only blue clothes, white head, and black body.
