Step 1. Sketch the head
First, draw a curved line to outline the newt’s head.
Step 2. Add the body
Next, draw two long lines to add its body.
Step 3. Attach the tail
Attach the newt’s pointed tail to the end of its body.
Step 4. Shape the legs
Now, shape the amphibian’s legs attached to its lower body similar to the illustration.
Step 5. Draw the face
First, draw the circular outline of the eye. Next, add a shaded circle to draw the pupils. Now, draw a curved line to form its mouth.
Step 6. Complete the Newt drawing
Let’s complete our newt drawing by adding some color! First, color the eyes with a white pencil. Next, color the belly with a light blue pencil. Then, shade the rest of the salamander’s body with a green pencil.
