You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

In the first step of the tutorial on how to draw a goose, we will start with the head and back of the goose. First, you can use some circles to create the goose’s beak.

This section will be split into two separate sections, with the top being larger than the bottom.

Then you can connect another circle to the beak to make the top of the goose’s head. That line will then extend further down to form the long neck and head of the back for the goose.

Once you’ve duplicated the lines as they appear in our reference image, you’re ready to move on to step 2!

Step 2 – Next, finish the neck for the goose.

With the head done, you can now start finishing the goose neck. You can draw another curved line down from the beak for the lower part of the neck.

This line will run parallel to the other for the neck you drew.

At that time, the lower line of the neck will round out into a greasy belly for the geese. That should do for this step and you can move on to the next step.

Step 3 – Now draw some details on the face along with more body

This third step of our how to draw a goose tutorial will help you add some more facial detail to the goose while also drawing some more body.

First, widen the line for the belly down and inward but for the lower part of the goose. This line will then go straight down towards the contour of the goose leg.

Once you’ve drawn these pins, you can then end the tail and end the way down from the tail.

Finally for this step, we will complete the facial skin. For the eyes, just draw a small black circle with a line below it for the eyes.

Then, draw another curved line at the bottom of the face, where it starts from the neck for the goose’s cheeks. You can then finish off the beak by adding another dot on it for the goose’s nostrils.

Step 4 – Next, finish the leg of the goose.

Your goose drawing already looks great! In this fourth step, we will tighten some details for the geese. First, complete the legs by adding the rest of the outline to them.

You can then complete the outline where a gap is left near the legs and then draw the upper part of the wing that will go near the top of the goose’s body.

With these strokes, we only have a few details to add in the next step before you start coloring your incredible goose drawing!

Step 5 – Now you can finish the details of your goose drawing

In this fifth part of our how to draw a goose tutorial, we’ll focus on perfecting the details before you start coloring the picture.

The main feature of this step will be the end of the wing you started earlier. To draw this, we will be using multiple lines to make the feathers on the wings.

Then just add a few more small details, but you’re almost done! Before moving on to the final step, you can also add some details of your own.

These things can be as small as adding some feathers or more powerful, like drawing a second goose for this one to hang out with.

These are just a few ideas, so what can you think to complete this picture?

Step 6 – Finish your goose drawing with some colors

You’ve finished creating your goose drawing, and now you can relax with some awesome colors to finish it off.

In our reference image, we used some light gray for the goose’s feathers with orange for the legs and beak. This is what we chose, but you can use any color you want to finish it off!

Once you know which colors you like, you simply choose which art medium to use to bring the colors to life.

You can use watercolor or crayons to create a lovely soft look for the picture. For more vibrancy, you can use acrylic paints or crayons.

These are just a few examples, so what are your favorite colors and mediums to use?
