FleaDrawing Step by Step

Step 1

Start with a circle for the end of the body, then draw a bullet for the head. You will then finish this step by drawing three very long leg lines.

Step 2

Now you will begin to outline the layers of scales that you see here that make up the body shape of the flea. Once this is done, you can outline the little hairs they have on the body.

Step 3

Draw an eye, then outline three tentacles like the mouth part as you see here. Next, draw the underside of the insect, then start outlining the front and middle legs. In fact, fleas have three different sets of legs, front, middle, and back. The hind legs are longer so they can jump. Did you know that a flea can jump up to 4 feet high?

Step 4

For the final drawing step, the first thing you need to do is draw the entire shape of the belly. Draw detailed lines, as well as the back layering ratios. Next and last, outline the rest of the legs and then add the small hairs that grow scattered over the limbs. Erase all guides and shapes, then move on to drawing lines.

Step 5

This is how you look at the insect when you’re done. Color it, and then you have a complete sketch of “How to Draw a Flea, Step by Step”.
