Step 1
Start by drawing a small fruit shape for the top to the center of the flower. Below the fruit shape should be a band.
Step 2
Now you can start drawing the first layer of the dahlia petals. As you can see they are shaped like mini sunflower petals.
Step 3
Continue making another row of the same dahlia petals, and notice how they start to get larger.
Step 4
There is only one more row of pf petals that you will need to make after you finish drawing this row or column.
Step 5
Continue drawing the remaining dahlia petals like this until the finished shape resembles a ball.
Step 6
Detail the petals, then you can continue to step seven.
Step 7
Finally draw the trunk, then you can erase the mistakes.
Step 8
Color your dahlias with one of your favorite bright shades. Blue is my favorite for this flower.
