Step 1
The first thing to do when drawing a cartoon owl is to draw a head shape that looks like an egg. Next, add the guide lines on the face and then draw a body circle slightly larger than the head shape.
Step 2
You will now draw the edges of the cartoon owl’s face as feathery circles. Once done, use the face guides you drew in step one to draw the owl eyes like you see here. Make sure the color is in the pupil.
Step 3
Now you will outline the actual shape of the owl’s head, in this case it should look a bit flat above. Draw bushy eyebrows and then draw an almond shaped nose and or beak. Draw the shape of the body or torso for your animated owl and then move on to the next step.
Step 4
Sketch the shape and position of the owl’s wings in your cartoon as you see here. Layer the lines to make the outfit look full and attractive. When that is done, draw an inner circle for the belly.
Step 5
This is your final drawing step and as you can see the only thing left to do here is draw the owl’s legs in the cartoon. He has three toes and three toenails that need to be outlined.
