Buffalo Drawing step by step
Step 1. Draw the Horns
Start by drawing the buffalo’s two large horns. Draw a curved horn on each side, making them look like two wide hooks or a gentleman’s mustache. Keep the horns balanced and leave a small space between them for the top of the head.
Step 2. Draw the Head
Now complete the buffalo’s head. Draw two small eyes beneath the horns, then add the nose with two large nostrils. Finish the head by drawing a leaf-shaped ear on each side, just below the horns, as shown in the illustration.
Step 3. Draw the Back, Tail, and Chest
Starting from the top of the head, draw a long curved line to create the buffalo’s back. Continue the line downward to form the tail, then add a thick tuft of hair at the tip. Finally, draw a short curved line beneath the head to outline the chest.
Step 4. Draw the Hind Legs and Belly
From the back of the body, draw the two strong hind legs. Add the hooves at the bottom of each leg. Then connect the hind legs to the chest with a slightly curved belly line, following the shape shown in the example.
Step 5. Draw the Front Legs
Next, draw the two front legs starting from the chest. Make them slightly slimmer and straighter than the hind legs. Because the buffalo is viewed from an angle, only the front edges of the hooves are visible, so simply draw them as shown in the illustration.
Step 6. Color Your Buffalo
Finish your drawing by adding color. Color the horns, hooves, and the tuft at the end of the tail black. Buffaloes can be gray, black, brown, or light yellowish-brown, so choose the colors you like best and bring your buffalo to life.
