Sheepdog Drawing Step by Step
Step 1
Draw two circles, one for the head and one for the body. Add face guides and continue.
Step 2
You can start sketching the long floppy head and ears. Make sure that the undercoat indicates whether the dog’s coat is long or shaggy.
Step 3
Sketch the lines of hair covering the dog’s eyes, then draw the nose and mustache like arches down the face. Added some details and definitions as well as some minor tweaks.
Step 4
Complete the face by drawing the lower jaw, mouth, and fill in the mouth with shadows and tongue. Sketch some details for the chin.
Step 5
Now it’s time to start drawing the left side of the body to complete this dog. Start with the neck, then move down to shape the first leg, fur-covered paws, and part of the chest. Add some texture to long hair by sketching in some loose bristles.
Step 6
Outline the right leg and foot, then outline some chest or abdomen. Again, add more details and move on to step seven.
Step 7
For the final drawing step, all you have to do is draw the back, hind legs, and paws, and then sketch some long hairs scattered across the dog’s body. Make a marker line for the back of the gray saddle.
Step 8
