Step 1
Start by sketching a U. This is the beginning of the main body of the rose.
Step 2
Draw a line from the bottom center of the U and down for the trunk.
Step 3
Draw a small leaf shape from the stem facing up on the lower side of the U.
Step 4
Draw another small leaf next to the one you drew, slightly arching its head down.
Step 5
Draw another small leaf next to the first one you drew and on its left side, slightly arched head down.
Step 6
Draw a line next to the original line.
Step 7
Similarly, draw another line to the other side of the trunk line.
Step 8
Draw a small circle at the bottom of the trunk.
Step 9
Draw a large leaf that extends from and to the right of the stem.
Step 10
Draw another large leaf that extends from and to the left of the stem.
Step 11
On each leaf, draw a line from the stem down the middle of the leaf to the tip of the leaf.
Step 12
On the left leaf, draw 4 lines evenly spaced from the center line of the leaf to its left edge. Also on the left leaf, draw four lines evenly spaced from the center line of the leaf to its right edge. Do the same for the right leaf.
Step 13
Remove excess line from the root.
Step 14
Now we are going to sketch a petal on the right side of the rose cartoon flower. Start drawing the petal at the bottom of the U and curl upwards like the letter C with the upper part of the C stretched to curl down and form the petal.
Step 15
Draw a curve from the bottom of the petal line drawn in the previous step. This line should extend to the end of the left border of the U, but to the right of the left border.
Step 16
Draw a curve from the top of the line drawn in the previous step to the tip of the petal on the right. This forms the center of the rose cartoon flower.
Step 17
Draw a curve from the line left of the center of the flower to the outside of the left U-shaped line in a downward direction. This forms a petal on the left side of the flower.
Step 18
Draw a line from the bottom of the right petal and the U-shape pointing up to the left and past the line to the left of the center of the flower. This line will extend close to the top of the left petal, but not all lines. Delete the upper part of the U shape we drew in the beginning.
Step 19
Draw a small circle in the center of the top part of the flower body (center). Add two curves behind the flower.
Step 20
Use crayons or crayons to color the flowers, stems, and leaves. We have now finished our sketch of a beautiful rose.
