Palm Tree Drawing

Please see the drawing tutorial in the video below

You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Here’s how to quickly draw three different types of palm leaves from three different brushes.

Step 2

This is a drawing of two different brushes, and as you can see the tree on the left is taller and slimmer, then the one on the right is shorter and thicker. Leaves are also wider than palm leaves to the left.

Step 3

When drawing leaves and palm fruit, you should draw in bunches. The bottom of the palm leaves should also be drawn close and tight.

Step 4

Here is a brief drawing of how the palm leaves should look up close. As you can see the edges are dipped or slit, and then the leaf detail will have some veins like number one shows you on the right.

Step 5

Now let’s start the actual tutorial. Start by drawing two circles for the center of each brush. Next, draw the instructions for the trunks and leaves as you see here.

Step 6

Now you’ll start drawing the brush bodies as you see here and notice how each one flares out at the top and turns off at the top. When you’re done with the stem of the tree, you can draw coconuts on it if you like.

Step 7

Now it’s time to draw the stout palm leaves for just one of the palms. Remember to outline the leaves with the incisions and cuts as you see them, then add some details to the center of the leaf, called the flank of the palm tree.

Step 8

Now all you have to do is draw other leaves on the palm tree behind the larger tree. Again, draw in the slots.

Step 9

For the final drawing step, all you need to do is draw horizontal lines that flow up and down the tree trunks. Next, draw some grass spots, then erase the lines and shapes you drew in step one.

Step 10

This is when you’re done. Interesting.
