You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1
These are just sketches of the many different face shapes the human face can be drawn on. As you can see, there are a total of nine different types of facial structure and all of them are shapes of their own. Go through this drawing to see which shape best suits your face. I think I have a round face.
Step 2
Here’s a sketch of the three different types of head poses your actual person might exhibit as you draw your person. There is a pose from the side, front and three-quarter views.
Step 3
I would like to explain this diagram in detail even though I have already written it for you in the drawing. The eyes of the side profile have half. Many artists get this wrong by painting the entire eye. At a glance, the face has a lot of details. There is a slight hint of cheek as you see here, and there is a defined line of the bridge of the nose. All these factors are important to make the face as realistic as possible. Study this sketch until you get the idea.
Step 4
As you can see in this diagram, I have drawn three different body poses. One is of a woman, the middle one is a man, and the last one is a skeleton. As you can see the parts are drawn correctly.
Step 5
In this step, I show you how to draw realistic people according to their gender. There are a lot of differences and details you have to master to draw realistic people most accurately. You may find males more difficult to draw because their boxy shapes seem like curved lines. Unlike women, men have a box-shaped body. I had a hard time trying to keep their bodies in tune with their anatomy. Read along for the tips and you’ll see what details you shouldn’t overlook when drawing realistic people.
Step 6
As with other parts of the human face, there are many different looks and expressions. Artists sometimes have trouble figuring out how to draw eyes. Here is a diagram that I sketched out of the different eye styles and shapes. Asian, angry, and top left eye are my three favorites.
Step 7
Like eyes, there are different types of noses. Drawing a realistic nose can also be frustrating at times. One of the hardest things for me when it comes to drawing the nose, is getting it to look like the face I’m drawing. You must remember, the size, shape and structure of the nose must go along with the shape of the face.
Step 8
Shall we get into the lesson? Start by drawing two circles for the actual male and female heads that you are about to draw. Next, draw the guide lines on the face and try to make sure that the guides are drawn the way you see here.
Step 9
Now you will begin to lightly outline the eyes for both male and female faces. Once done, you can outline the sides of the nose like so.
Step 10
Choose the face structure that you think best suits your head shape, then once you have the face structure selected, start sketching the shapes of the two faces. Next, draw the eyeball, the nostril, and then the top part of the mouth or lips.
Step 11
Now you can start drawing realistically. Start by adding color to the eyes and outline the eyebrows. Next, outline the shape of the ear and the rest of the mouth. Add some shading on the male’s cheeks and on the female’s lashes. When that’s done, you can sketch out the shape of their neck and hairstyle. You can choose any style you like, but whatever style you choose is fine.
Step 12
When all is said and done, this is how your real self should look. You can choose to color them, or you can let your real person do the sketch. I hope you had fun with this lesson, but more importantly, I hope you learned something new today.
