Power Lines Drawing Step by Step
Step 1: Draw the Utility Poles
Start by drawing three tall utility poles. Make each pole long and narrow, with slightly different heights. Keep enough space between the poles so there is room to add the power lines later.
Step 2: Add the Crossarms and Insulators
Next, add a crossarm near the top of each utility pole. Draw small insulators along the crossarms.
Add the small support braces underneath the crossarms to give each pole a more realistic structure.
Step 3: Draw the Power Lines
Now connect the utility poles with power lines. Start at the top of the poles and draw long, slightly curved lines between the insulators.
Follow the same direction for the remaining wires, making sure the lines connect naturally from one pole to the next.
Step 4: Add the Distant Mountains
Begin adding the landscape behind the utility poles. Draw a series of light, uneven lines to form the distant mountain range.
Keep the mountain outlines behind the power lines and poles so the foreground and background are clearly separated.
Step 5: Add More Mountain Details
Continue developing the mountain scenery by adding more overlapping mountain shapes and irregular lines in the background.
Use gentle, uneven curves to make the mountains look natural while keeping the utility poles and power lines as the main focus of the drawing.
Step 6: Add the Ground and Grass
Complete the lower part of the scene by adding the ground beneath the utility poles.
Draw small clumps of grass and short lines around the bases of the poles to give the landscape more detail.
Step 7: Color Your Power Line Drawing
Finally, color your drawing to complete the scene.
Use gray for the utility poles and dark gray for the power lines and insulators. Color the grass green and the mountains in shades of green. Then fill the sky with light blue and add white clouds above the mountains.
