You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Okay, let’s start this step by drawing out the guides and shapes to make a dummy like Kratos’ frame. You will draw a small circle for his head and then add guide lines on his face. Once that’s done, outline the shape of his muscular torso and remember to add straight lines to his chest and six pack guides. You will then draw out half the shape of the arm and then the shape of the leg and parts of the shin.

Step 2

Now in this next step you will start drawing his trapezius muscles, i.e. the muscles above the collarbone. Once done, outline the shape of his jaw and left ear. Add more lines for his arms and then start outlining his torn loincloth. You will then complete the shape of his shin and foot as shown in the picture.

Step 3

Now that you’ve made it to the third step, you’ll begin to outline the shape of his face including his eyes, nose, and mouth. You will then outline his beard and begin to detail his inner arm with muscles. On the right forearm, you’ll outline chains that wrap around nearly the entire portion of the forearm. Once done you can draw the head lining for his blades and then add definition for his torso as shown. Define his thighs and then start outlining his toes.

Step 4

You’ve made it to the fourth step now and I know it must be challenging so far. But don’t worry because you’re almost done. What you will do first in this step is to detail his face more clearly and then start adding strokes to his torso, including his belly. You can then add his nipples and add lining for a red tattoo like his tattoo. Add the chain on his left arm and then complete the shape of the sword on his left hand. See his loincloth detail, then his left shin and foot. Before you leave, you’ll also need to add more detailed lines to the sword on the right.

Step 5

Now that you’ve gone to step five and now that you’re here, you’re done with everything. First, you’ll add loose chains on his left arm and further detail the blade including his hand. Once done, draw the rest of the tattoos on Krato’s body and then add some detailed designs on his belt. Detail and define his right blade and then add some creases to his loincloth. You will add a string around his bottom leg and then erase all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6

After you finish drawing your Kratos will appear like this after all is cleaned up. I was going to upload a sketch of Kratos, but I thought this would be better. All you have to do now is color him and your suit. I hope you had a great time with this step-by-step how to draw Kratos from God of War tutorial.
