Step 1

Start sketching Dog Man by drawing the head. Use a long curved line to enclose the irregular shape. Cover a small circle at the tip of the muzzle to form the nose. Use a long, curved line for the smiley face.

Step 2

Draw a square on top of the head to indicate Dog Man’s hat. Along the bottom of the square, paint a thick line. This is the brim of the hat. Draw two vertical curved lines for the eyes and draw three dots next to the nose to indicate the beard.

Step 3

Use curved lines to draw a tulip-like shape on the front of the hat. Round the ear by extending a curved line from the top and doubling it back to itself.

Step 4

Draw another slightly curved square below the head, forming the torso of the body. Draw short horizontal lines from head to body, forming the character’s beard. Draw the other ear, again extending a curved line from the top and doubling it back to itself.

Step 5

Step 6

Draw by hand, erase as needed. Use a series of short, curved lines to indicate the fingers.

Step 7

Draw the other side. Again, use a series of short, curved lines to indicate the fingers.

Step 8

Draw Dog Man’s legs. For each leg, extend a pair of parallel lines below the body. Notice how the lines are evenly curved to form the knee. Then draw an oval at the bottom of a set of lines to form the foot.

Step 9

Complete your Dog Man outline by enclosing the irregular circular shape of the remaining food and drawing a tulip symbol on its shirt using a curved line and two “V” shaped lines.

Step 10

Color your Dog Man cartoon. He is a brown dog. His uniform is blue with yellow logos.
