You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing a zigzag line. Use straight or slightly curved lines for each section. This line will form the bottom of the crystal.

Step 2

Wrapped with a crystal. Do so using a series of curves, joined together of different lengths. Figure will include part of the original zigzag line as its base.

Step 3

Sketch the second crystal, again using the connected lines. Note that this crystal is larger than the first crystal.

Step 4

Draw a third crystal emerging from between the first two crystals. Use a series of lines around the drawing.

Step 5

Draw another crystal. Note how this crystal emerges at a different angle from its predecessor. Surround the figure using connected segments of different lengths.

Step 6

Draw one more crystal emerging from behind the others. Use some lines to surround the shape.

Step 7

Now you will start adding details to your crystal. To denote the aspects, let’s put an irregular pentagon in a crystal. Then, attach the corners of the pentagon to the contour of the crystal using straight lines. Beneath this crystal, enclose the remaining open space with small and large rectangles.

Step 8

Add details of the facets to the additional crystals. In the small crystal, surround a shape at its end and draw a line that runs the length of the crystal. Do the same for the larger crystal, enclosing an additional shape at its bottom. Extend a few rectangles from the side face of the crystal structure.

Step 9

Add aspect details to the remaining crystals. For each piece, wrap the ends and draw one or more lines that run along the length of the crystal. Use the expansion technique – short, straight, parallel lines – to give the crystals texture.

Step 10

Your crystal color. Will they look like quartz, red like ruby or green like kryptonite? The choice is yours.
