Step 1
This lesson will be extremely simple. We’ll start with our outline of Astroboy’s round head and body. For this step we use very simple geometric shapes, such as circles and cylinders. It is very important to remember that the lines should be very light.
Step 2
To make it even easier to draw Astro Boy, in this step we will draw the most basic details. Let’s start with the head and draw the contour of the eyes and an unusual hairstyle. Next, outline the fingers, shorts, and shoes. This step should also be drawn using the lightest lines.
Step 3
Draw oval eyes and round pupils inside them. Next, we draw Astro Boy’s facial contours and hairstyle. Draw our character’s nose, mouth, ears, and frown eyebrows. If you’ve done everything like in our example, then move on to the next step.
Step 4
A fairly simple step where we will just need to circle the contours of the torso and arms. Carefully draw the fingers and remove all unnecessary guides from the Astro Boy drawing. Note that in this drawing there should be not too many realistic details, only the most basic lines.
Step 5
Time to draw Astro Boy’s foot. Continue the body line, gently drawing the legs and shoes. In the same step, we need to draw the flames coming from our character’s feet. In the same step we will need to remove all unnecessary rules from our drawing.
Step 6
This is the final step of a lesson on how to draw an Astro Boy. In this step we’ll need to draw the eyes, hair, and shorts, leaving a little glare, as our artists did. By the way, another little detail – the eyelashes, must be drawn with the help of very short lines.
