Step 1
Start with a circle and curves for the ends, then add guides for both of the character’s faces. This will serve as the foundation for the characters to build the necessary details. That’s how I started my drawing work too!
Step 2
Next, work on the guidelines for the body. This can take some time to work on as it has a lot to do with drawing. Take your time because if you rush you will really mess up!
Step 3
Now define the position of their arms using circles and lines (blue line) + note: the black lines defining the girl’s right arm will be hidden when we finish the photo so I just draw it to make it easier for you to visualize where they are
Step 4
So now start drawing the character’s arms along the lines that you drew in step 3 (the blue lines).
Step 5
This is what your pencil lines will look like. Before you start polishing the shapes, erase the paths between the shapes.
Step 6
Now let’s start locating the face, torso and arms, you only need to draw the visible parts (the blue line), not all the lines that you already have from the stage 5!
Step 7
Now you can start experimenting and adding facial and clothing details to create the characters kissing. Maybe you can add two boys or maybe two girls? xD Let’s move on to the last step!
Step 8
With extra polishing, here are your results! Take your time and erase additional and unnecessary mistakes before you start inking or coloring. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did. Thanks for watching!
