Gates can have different designs, materials of manufacture and methods of opening. In this lesson, two wide pillars are depicted, on which are mounted gates made of sturdy metal bars.
At the end of the lesson, you can use any material available, but you should draw all the lines yourself as this will be a great exercise for you. To paint the pillars, you can choose any color you like best.
Gate Drawing Step by Step
Step 1. Draw the bottom and side contours.
Draw a horizontal line and two vertical lines on either side.
Step 2. Add the sides of the pillar and the bottom of the gate.
Draw two vertical lines and a horizontal line between them.
Step 3. Draw the tops of the pillars.
Draw straight rectangles on each column.
Step 4. Draw semicircular domes on the pillars.
Sketch a smooth, circular line at the top of each pillar.
Step 5. Draw the top of the gate.
Describe two curly connecting lines between articles.
Step 6. Outline the bottom grid.
Add a horizontal line at the bottom.
Step 7. Add the metal bars.
Take turns drawing vertical lines of different sizes.
Step 8. Draw the middle part of the gate.
Draw two small horizontal lines in the middle.
Step 9. Color the drawing.
