Step 1
Perhaps the most iconic aspect of this monster is its terrifying gaping mouth.
This isn’t a scene you want to see up close in real life, but we’ll start with it regardless in this first step of the Demogorgon drawing tutorial.
The shape of the mouth looks like a flower, and it consists of various parts that stretch out.
Each section will look like a petal, and they will be drawn with some curved lines forming a rounded base with a pointed top.
The two sections at the bottom of the mouth will be the smallest, while the ones at the top will be larger and roughly the same size.
Once you’ve drawn this outline of the mouth as shown in the image, you’ll be ready for the next step of the tutorial.
Step 2 – Now draw the arms and chest of the Demogorgon
Moving down from the top of your Demogorgon drawing, we’ll now start drawing the monster’s arms and chest.
While the monster’s head is monstrous and heterosexual, its body looks a bit more human.
Use some curved lines to draw the rounded shoulders of the beast at the bottom of the mouth, then use some more lines for the biceps below them.
Next you can use some slightly curved horizontal lines for the muscular chest of the beast. You can then finish by drawing the top of the monster’s ribcage using some more rounded lines.
Then it will go to step 3!
Step 3 – Draw more arms and waist
You are now ready to complete the arms and hands in this step of our Demogorgon drawing tutorial.
Use some angled curves for the beast’s thick arms. Then we will draw some sharper lines for the claws of the hand and the fingers extending from the base of the arm.
Next, we will draw the waist of the beast. The contours for the waist will be drawn using some inward curves.
Finally for this step, draw 4 small and round abs inside the thin outline of Demogorgon’s waist.
That’s all that needs to be done for this step, so now we can move on.
Step 4 – Next, draw the rest of the body contour
This part of your Demogorgon drawing will see you add the final elements of the outline to the monster’s body and legs.
First, add the animal’s hips below the belt you just drew. Then we will add the pins as separate sections.
The pins will be quite round and long for the top sections. Then there will be a small knee with long, thin shins attached to them.
Finish off with the fearsome claws that make up the paws before you move on to the final details in the next step.
Step 5 – Add Final Details to Your Demogorgon Drawing
We’ll go full circle when we get back to add some more detail to the mouth you drew in the first step of this Demogorgon tutorial.
First, draw a circle in the center of the mouth. You can then draw some sharp teeth inside the mouth contour using some curved, pointed lines.
Then add two lines near the base of each part of the mouth opening. To complete the mouth, we will then draw some more scattered teeth around the inside of the mouth.
After these details are drawn, you can continue by adding more ideas of your own!

Step 6 – Finish your Demogorgon drawing in color
Now you should be able to finish this Demogorgon drawing that you worked so hard on by having fun coloring.
For the inside of the mouth, we used various shades of red to make it look more nutty. The teeth will be pure white to help them stand out against the red background.
For the body, we used different shades of dark gray and light gray to give the skin a tougher look.
You can choose the same colors to recreate the look of the monster in the show, but you should also feel free to create your own variant of the Demogorgon!
