You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

The Barn owl is one of the most common owls in the world and lives on every continent except Antarctica. Let’s draw one by starting with the head. Create a round heart shape for the main part of the face, then add another curved line around the top.

Step 2

Add the face by adding two curves inward and two circles inside the curve. Then draw another small circle in the first circle for the pupil. Add a small beak by drawing a sharp ‘v’ shape. Although you can’t see the ears, Barn Owls have excellent hearing and use it to help find their prey.

Step 3

Draw the wings first by drawing a curved triangle, then add a few rounded wing tips underneath.

Step 4

For the other wing, draw a few more bumpy lines ending in a point.

Step 5

Draw the first leg by pulling two lines down and adding a few rounded toes. Then draw a few pointed claws at the tips of the toes. Then draw another loop for the front of the leg.

Step 6

Now add another pin to match the first one. The owl has long legs, toes and claws so it can catch prey more easily.

Step 7

Add the tail behind the owl by drawing some circles behind the legs.
