You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

So despite having a mythical origin, the character is a horse and we’ll use the way of drawing a horse. First of all, outline the head in a circle shape, then the chest and pelvis in a circle. Use simple lines to outline the neck and limbs. Recall that in the first steps we need to use very light lines.

Step 2

Let’s add some volume. First of all, let’s outline a snout and neck that is long, thick to the body. On top, we outline the ears, eyes, horns, and mane. Now connect the circles, drawn in the previous step and form the body. Add volume to the legs and depict the hooves. Note that the right leg tapers closer to the hooves. At the end of the step outline the tail.

Step 3

In the last two steps we have created the general contours of our mythical horn horse, and starting with this step we will work with the details. Let’s start with the head, carefully describing the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. Recall that starting with this step we used clear and dark lines.

Step 4

Continue drawing tutorial on how to draw a unicorn. Remove all the extra lines from the neck and draw out the nice mane. The hair lines on the mane should go from the roots to the ends for the most natural look.

Step 5

Let’s go down a bit and depict the forefoot, erasing the rules. Note, under the skin clearly prominent chest bones and joints in the legs. Consider all of these details as you draw the foreground.

Step 6

Here we do the same operations but this time with the hind legs, i.e. remove all the unnecessary extra lines from the leg and carefully draw them out, making the lines clear and beautiful. Take into account all the flexes of muscles and tendons for maximum spontaneity.

Step 7

There is very little left. This is a very simple step in which we describe our unicorn’s long and zigzag tail. To do this we need to use long and slightly twisted lines. As we all know, the hairline should be from root to tip.

Step 8

So in the last step of all our posts we always add a drop shadow, and here we will do the same. To do this we will use the classic hatch style. Just add it to the least lighted areas on the unicorn’s body. Also make the tail and mane more realistic and natural by adding some more curves.
