Step 1
Like most cartoon animals (or even cartoon characters), it’s always a good idea to start with the head. Make sure this is almost at the bottom of your illustration. Use a large oval to create this one.
Step 2
Next, you can add both nails with a circle. I like to draw claws slightly open. You can also play with the size of a claw and draw bigger or smaller ones.
Step 3
Proceed to create the foot. Add three shapes on each side of the cartoon crab. These images must be pointed and made of curved triangles.
Step 4
Outline eyes and pupils with circles. Both students are placed near the center of the illustration. Do not hesitate to cover a large area of your face with your eyes. The result will be much cuter.
Step 5
Complete this lesson with the addition of a long curve to illustrate the mouth. Several oval shapes can also be used to add life inside the pupils of the animated crab.
Step 6
That’s it! Crabs are usually red, but they can also be filled with orange, with light blue or white.
