You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

Start by drawing the roots of the tree. Draw two curved lines and connect them at the bottom using a series of curved lines.

Step 2

Start drawing the trunk. Use overlapping curves to form a tree node. Enclose the roots and trunk with curved lines.

Step 3

Use overlapping curved lines to draw the rest of the trunk and the base of the branch. Then draw the lower part of the tree’s foliage. Use a series of connected curves to draw the cloud shape.

Step 4

Continue drawing the crown with the leaves of the tree. Use a series of connected “U” shaped lines to outline a large, round, cloud-like shape.

Step 5

Complete the outline of the canopy. Use a series of connected curves. Then draw a banner below the tree. Use four lines to outline a narrow rectangle horizontally.

Step 6

Draw some ovals near the top of the tree. This is where you will put drawings or photos of your family members. Complete the ribbon ends of the banner. Draw a pennant shape at each end. First, draw an open square on one side. Then, wrap the other side with an inward “V” shaped line.

Step 7

Draw more ovals on the tree for more family members. Then, write the words “Family Tree” on the banner.

Tip: This family tree is designed to show you, your parents, and your grandparents. You can customize your family tree with the number of ovals to match the number of family members you have. Plus, you can customize the banner with your family’s last name.

Step 8

Write the word “Mr” under the first and third boxes, and the word “Madame” under the second and fourth boxes.

Tip: Instead of using the generic terms “Mrs” and “Grandpa,” include the names of your grandparents.

Step 9

Write the words “Mother” and “Dad” under the oval of the second row, and “I” under the other oval.

Tip: Customize your family tree with your own and your parents’ names.

Step 10

Color your family tree. What season is it? You can color your plants green in the spring and summer, or vibrant red, yellow or orange in the fall.
