Owl Moonlight Scenery Drawing Step by Step
Step 1: Draw the Moon
Use a pencil and compass to draw a large circle in the center of the paper. This circle will be the moon.
Step 2: Color the Night Sky
Use purple oil pastel to color around the moon. Add black oil pastel to the four corners of the paper to create a darker night sky around the edges.
Step 3: Blend the Colors
Use a piece of paper or a cotton swab to gently blend and smooth the oil pastel colors. Blend the purple and black areas together to create a soft nighttime effect.
Step 4: Create the Moon and Stars
Cover the moon with a piece of paper, then splatter white watercolor over the purple background to create tiny stars in the night sky. After that, lightly shade the moon with a pencil to give it a soft gray tone and a more realistic appearance.
Step 5: Draw the Old Tree
Use a 8B–10B pencil to draw the large old tree in front of the moon. Add the branches, smaller twigs, and grass at the bottom of the picture to create the silhouette of the scenery.
Step 6: Add the Owl and Finish the Drawing
Draw a small owl sitting on one of the tree branches. Add a few touches of white to the tree and surrounding areas to create a subtle reflection of the moonlight. Finally, refine the details and complete your Owl Moonlight Scenery drawing.
