Chinese Girl Drawing Step by Step

Step 1: Start with the face

Start by drawing a circle in the middle of your paper. This circle will serve as the girl’s head. You can sketch lightly with a pencil so you can make changes if needed.

Step 2: Draw facial features

Add two almond-shaped eyes just below the center of the circle. These eyes should be slightly slanted. You can draw them with curved lines to make them look softer.

Draw a small nose in the middle of the face, just below the eyes. It should be a small, simple curve.

Sketch a smiling mouth under the nose. You can create a smile as wide or as subtle as you like.

Step 3: Add hair

Draw the girl’s hair, which can be of different styles. You can give her long, flowing hair or a traditional Chinese hairstyle like two buns on either side of her head. For long hair, just draw a few curls or loose curls around her shoulders.

Step 4: Create the neck and clothes

Extend two lines from the bottom of the head down to form the girl’s neck.

Add clothes to the girl’s character. Traditional Chinese clothing often includes dresses with unique patterns and designs. You can draw a simple dress with a high collar or you can get creative and design a more elaborate outfit.

Step 5: Add details

Add some detail to the garment, such as a pattern or folds.

You can also add accessories such as earrings, hair clips or decorative headbands.

Step 6: Complete and delete

Go over your drawing with darker lines, refine details, and make any necessary adjustments.

Delete any unnecessary instructions or lines that you no longer need.

Step 7: Color (Optional)

If you want to add color to your drawing, use colored pencils, markers, or any other coloring tool you like. Consider using traditional Chinese colors like red, yellow or black for a more authentic look.

Step 8: Background (Optional)

You can create a background for your drawing as a backdrop. It could be a garden, a traditional Chinese building, or any other setting that complements your personality.
Remember that drawing takes practice, so don’t be discouraged if your first try isn’t perfect. Keep honing your skills and over time your drawings will improve. Feel free to add your own unique style and personal touch to make your Chinese girl drawing truly your own.
