You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below

Step 1

The first thing you need to do before sketching the vertical shapes is to draw the horizontal line that makes up the very long rectangular table. Add the fabric that falls off the sides. Once that’s done, you can start sketching all thirteen shapes starting from left to right. Some men have exposed arms that you also need to draw. Next and last, draw thirteen heads and make sure they are the same size.

Step 2

Now it’s time to start zooming in on each step so that you can clearly see all the definitions and details that you will need to draw. Once you’ve scaled this step down, you may find that you’ll need to start sketching the initial shoulders, face, and hairstyle for each of the men you see here. All but one bearded man, the beardless disciple was John. Remember, use motion sketching throughout the lesson as there is a lot of detail and definition with each shape. Jesus is in the middle, and like the rest, he has only his shoulders, the shape of his face, and his hair pulled back.

Step 3

Start from the left, and start sketching five men’s coats or robes that they’re wearing. Add all the crimp details as well as the arms, hands and fills to the faces. Sketch the eyes, nose, and mouth for almost every man in the photo. I have not included face guides for faces because all features are small in size. The cloths look very loose and worn, and some collars have brooches attached.

Step 4

You will now sketch the arm, hand, and cloth for the rest of the people including Jesus and the rest of his disciples. Use the same technique you used for the other man you drew, and when you’re done, add some details and strokes as you see here. There are also a few panels on the countertop that you can start drawing on.

Step 5

This is finally your final drawing step, so be proud of yourself that you’ve made it so far. You will now begin to detail the hair of the selected men, and then define their clothing. also. Sketch out the exact shape of the table and as you can see, there is a tablecloth that you need to outline before you start drawing the cups, plates, and food. After the dining table is complete, you can start sketching glasses filled with wine and plates filled with fingerlings and fish. Carefully start erasing all the guides and shapes that you drew in step one.

Step 6

When you’re done, your sketch will appear like the one you see here. Once it’s all cleaned up, you can choose to color it or leave the drawing as a nice sketch. This is definitely a project you can start a few days before Easter to give it to someone special to you as a gift. When Jesus rose from the dead, it was a sacred day that would be celebrated for all time.
