Samus Aran Drawing Step by Step
Step 1. Draw the Helmet
Start by sketching Samus Aran’s rounded helmet. Then, draw the angular shape of her visor.
Attach the ear pads to both sides of the helmet. Now, sketch the thin ventilation ducts that curve around the base of the helmet. Make sure to erase the overlapping lines.
Step 2. Create the Body Shape
Underneath the helmet, draw the torso part of Samus’s Power Suit’s chest armor and create the rounded and bulky shoulder armor as shown.
Step 3. Add the Right Arm
Draw the segmented armor on her right arm and hand.
Step 4. Create the Arm Cannon
Attach the left arm on top. Then, draw the arm cannon on her forearm.
Step 5. Draw the Abdomen
Underneath the chest armor, draw the connection to her abdomen, not forgetting that she has a pretty small waist.
Step 6. Draw the Legs
Draw Samus Aran’s armored legs in sections.
Create the angular boot shape of the Power Suit.
Step 7. Color the Samus Aran Drawing
Let’s add some color to Samus Aran from Metroid! Color the helmet and chest armor red. Next, use a light green for the visor. Shade the ventilation ducts on her helmet in light gray. Color the inner suit, visible at the neck, elbows, and pelvis, in dark gray. Shade the armor plates of the suit on the shoulders, arms, and legs in orange. Then, color the torso and inner left thigh yellow. Finally, use dark shades of green for the hand cannon.
