Step 1
Here, you’ll start by creating a simple circle and then outline the facial guidelines.
Step 2
As you draw the shape of Sakura’s face, you will also incorporate the dome hair. Some hair falls on Sakura’s cheeks as you can see here on the right hand side.
Step 3
Using the facial instructions you made in step one, let’s start the process of drawing Sakura’s big beautiful eyes. The upper lashes should be very bold and thick. Also add a lanyard. Draw the eyeball and color the small pupil. Then you’ll draw her thin brows, as well as her nose and friendly smile. Although, we already know Sakura is a bit sour at times.
Step 4
Now that Sakura’s face is in place, we can focus on stroking her hair. Start from above the points of each arch from her bangs, and start drawing her short straight curls. There are passages and points that need to be added as well as some of her ribbons peeking out from behind. Did you know that Sakura started wearing a ribbon in her hair after her friend Ino suggested wearing one to draw attention away from her large forehead?
Step 5
Here you will draw her ribbon like that, and then draw in the shape of Sakura’s neck. Once done, you can complete this Naruto character by drawing her high collar and some shoulders. When you feel like your drawing is ready to color, just take the time to erase the mistakes you’ve made along the way as well as the guides and shapes.
