You can refer to the simple step-by-step drawing guide below
Step 1. Eyes
Draw Kuromi’s eyes first. Draw them big, round with thick, outward-facing lashes.
Step 2. Nose and Mouth
Draw a small oval for the nose and create a mischievous, sly smile. These facial features are central to Kuromi’s character, capturing her mischievous yet lovable nature.
Step 3. Face Shape
Draw a precise outline for Kuromi’s face around the eyes, nose, and mouth you just drew.
Step 4. Head Sketch
Draw a larger oval around the face. Notice that the face is at the bottom of the oval of the head as shown.
Step 5. Ears
From the top of the head, extend two long, curved ears. They should be pointed at the tips and wide at the bases. This step is important because the ears are a big part of Kuromi’s silhouette, contributing greatly to her recognizable and beloved figure.
Step 6. Body Clone
Draw Kuromi’s body as an oval, then add Kuromi’s collar by drawing a ruffled outline around her neck. Start by sketching a series of small curves around the base of her neck to create the shape of the folds of fabric. At the ends of the protruding parts of the collar, draw bells in simple circles. Draw two small curves extending from either side of her body to represent her arms. At the end of each arm, sketch her hands, making sure they are in proportion to the rest of her body. The arms should be drawn perfectly symmetrical and mirror each other. Sketch the arms. Next, draw Kuromi’s legs short and plump, ending with small, round feet that support her cartoonish form.
Step 7. Tail
Add a quirky touch by adding a small tail sticking out from behind her. The tail should be pointed and slightly curved, suggesting movement.
Step 8. Color your Kuromi drawing
Use black for her hood and ears, pink for her skull and nose, and light gray or white for her body. Make sure to color within the lines. You can add shading as needed to give depth and dimension to the drawing. Pay attention to the small details.
