Dende Drawing Step by Step

Step 1

Start this step by drawing a circle for the head, then draw a bell with a straight edge for the body. Attach the two shapes with a neckline.

Step 2

Here you will outline Dende’s head shape and facial structure. As you can see his chin is off at the end. Once you’re done, you can draw the antenna.

Step 3

Okay guys, it’s time to draw the shape of his eyes and make sure that the eyebrows dominate over the eyes. Next, draw his nose, then detail his mouth and chin.

Step 4

You’ll now outline Dende’s giant elf-like ears and make sure to outline all the added details and definitions. Once that’s done, add stroke above his eyebrows, then draw and color the dots above his eyes.

Step 5

All you have to do here is sketch the scarf around his neck and it’s almost like it’s suffocating him. Add folds, folds and creases.

Step 6

Okay guys, let’s draw his shoulders to eventually turn into a vest. Although Dende is a small creature, he is also very stocky.

Step 7

Draw Dende’s arm, and then his hand. When that’s done, you have to pull out his fingernails on one hand and his fist on the other. Be sure to add details to her sleeves too.

Step 8

Now it’s time to start sketching the rest of his body as well as his clothes. As you do this, you’ll need to draw in the sash, then outline the wrinkles and folds that dot his body or outfit.

Step 9

Finally, draw Dende’s feet and/or shoes and remember to draw the stripes. Erase the paths and shapes that you drew in step one to clean up your drawing.

Step 10

This is what your Dende drawing will look like when you’re done. Now you can color him and hit the road. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial on how to draw Dende, one of DBZ’s valuable characters.
