Step 1
Start by drawing two curves, almost vertical and parallel. Notice that the lines diverge or curl apart at the top.
Step 2
Draw two “U” shaped lines above the lines drawn in the previous step. Broccoli is like a small tree, and so is your drawing – a tree with branches stretching out, left and right.
Step 3
Use a curve around the bottom of the broccoli. Then, draw a curve in the opposite direction right above it. This forms the flat edge where the broccoli bundle is cut from the plant.
Step 4
Draw two circles with a “U” shape at the end of each branch. This completely covers the stem or stalk of the broccoli.
Step 5
Draw a series of curves of different lengths, starting on one side of the trunk, going through the top and joining them on the opposite side to wrap the broccoli’s crown. The crown should be rounded and shaped like a cloud.
Step 6
Color your broccoli. It is a dark green vegetable. Cauliflower, a similar food, can be white, yellow, orange or purple.
